2012 “Back On Track” Challenge Winners
We challenged a select group of committed athletes to ring in the new year with 30 days of strict clean eating. No gimmicks, tricks, weight-loss supplements, special shakes, pills, or quick fixes. Just plain old hard work and clean eating; the way nature intended!
The requirements were simple: Eat clean, post a daily Facebook update tagging CrossFit Ocean Isle Beach or a comment on our CrossFit OIB blog, and perform the benchmark WOD “Filthy Fifty” at the start and finish of the challenge. 1 winner was chosen based on the above criteria.

1st Place Winner- Daniel Beasley
Daniel’s OVERALL body composition changed by 3.2% in 30 days! He lost 8 lbs/ ~3 inches in his waist/ and 1.5 inches in his hips and improved his “Filthy Fifty” time by over 6 minutes! Daniel also tallied 30 Facebook posts and can boast a stunning change in appearance! Whoot! Whoot!
Daniel wins 1 free month’s membership to CrossFit OIB + a 60 minute massage with the one and only Mac Wood!
1st Runner Up- Jacob Cunningham
Jacob’s OVERALL body composition changed by 2.8% in 30 days! He lost 7.6 lbs/ ~2 inches in his waist/ and 3.5 inches in his hips and improved his “Filthy Fifty” time by over 8 minutes! Jacob also tallied 30 blog posts. Congratulations Jacob! Your hard work has paid off!
2nd Runner Up- Jennifer Beasley
Jennifer is a perfect example of how woman can lose body fat, gain lean mass, and drop a dress size at the same time. While Jennifer’s weight increased by 4lbs during the challenge, she lost 3% body fat! Jen lost ~2 inches in her waist/ and 1.5 inches in her hips and improved her “Filthy Fifty” time by over 6 minutes! Jen also tallied 30 Facebook posts. Strong is the new skinny and Jennifer Beasley is walking proof!

Winner of the “BODY COMPOSTION CHANGE” Christle Baxley:
Christles OVERALL body composition changed by 10%.
Christle lost 21 lbs/ 4.5″ in her waist/ 5.5″ in her hips in 9 weeks!
She also improved on ALL Benchmark WODS!
Winner of the “MOST INCREASED PERFORMANCE” Stephanie McMullan:
Stephanie increased ALL Benchmark WODS!
Stephanie increase her FGB score alone by 46 points.
